Karsiyaka village is located on the northern coast, 35 minutes' drive west of Kyrenia town. The village climbs up the side of the mountain. The area is popular because it has retained its traditional rural feel, is close to fantastic beaches, has good bus connections, several grocery stores, restaurants and other attractions for a quiet life but still close to everything. From the top of the village you have a 180 degree panoramic view of the sea and the Besparmak mountain range with a view that is magnificent in all directions. The local area has many coves and beaches. With a 1-minute drive you reach three sandy beaches, two of which are very secluded. On Karsyaka beach you can see the sea turtles Caretta Caretta and Chelonia lay their eggs in May/June and in July/August watch the eggs hatch. The West Kyrenia coast, the north-west coast of northern Cyprus is perfect for hiking, swimming, scenic experiences and loads of fine restaurants.
