I would like to know more about this property Perfect location within walking distance to shops, bars, restaurants and the beaches of Pernera
Protaras, also called Fig Tree Bay by the Swedes, is the tourist resort on the east coast of Cyprus about 12 kilometers northeast of Agia Napa. The area is growing all the time, new hotels and restaurants are popping up. About 500 people live here all year round, but during the summer Protaras is a paradise for those who want sun and swimming. For the Cypriots, Protaras is also popular, many have summer houses here and travel down here on weekends. In Protaras, sun worshipers find their own Mecca, here you will find several of the island's best beaches. The nightlife in Protaras is a bit quieter than that in Agia Napa, and many families with children therefore choose to holiday here. Protaras basically consists of only two roads, the thoroughfare, the upper street, and the lower street which is one-way and lined with restaurants, pubs and shops. The sidewalks are wide and there are many pedestrian crossings. Here you will find everything you need for a wonderful holiday in the sun. Everything is within walking distance so you don't have to think about transport at all. You just go down to the supermarket and buy your fresh morning rolls. The beaches are like little pearls all along the coast, you can try a new beach every day if you wish. In Protaras you will also find well-stocked souvenir shops, shoe and clothing stores, pharmacies, opticians, post offices, a couple of nightclubs and plenty of pubs. Since Protaras is a tourist resort, business does not take the customary siesta. Most are open between 08:00 and 23:00, except for Sundays when many close earlier in the day. If you want some peace and quiet, travel to Protaras in April, May - September or October. During the high summer of June, July and August, Protaras has a good pulse for those who don't want to go to bed before midnight. But it is rarely noisy inside Protaras itself. The most popular beach in Protaras is Fig Tree Bay.
