The area of Pernera belongs to Protaras but is about 2 kilometers from the center of Protaras. The entire stretch is full of hotels, houses and restaurants so you never notice that you are in a new area. The local bus of course passes Pernera and everything is within walking distance, Pernera is on the thoroughfare and thus has no square or "centre". Many of the Swedish charter hotels are located on a quiet side street to the thoroughfare near the sea. In Pernera you will find many good restaurants and pubs, but no nightclubs, but you are always close to the sea. If you want to go into the center of Protaras, you can take a shortcut along the sea. The beach promenade starts down at the Blue Spice Restaurant and Marlita Hotel, in 20 minutes you walk into the center of Protaras.
