Torrevieja's coast consists of over 2 km of white sandy beaches and bays. Torrevieja's beaches are very easily accessible, whether walking or taking the car as it is well signposted everywhere. The signage shows what is on each beach such as showers, playgrounds for the children, rescue buoys, lifeguards, outdoor gym, etc. Between each beach are small lovely bays, called calas, where you can snorkel, dive and sunbathe in a little more privacy and tranquility than the slightly more crowded beaches. Off some of Torrevieja's beaches are also some fantastic coral reefs.
Playa del Acequión This beach is located in the harbor, and is a wide area of white fine-grained sand. There are usually a couple of fishing boats on the shore and on the promenade above are some nice beach bars in a better position for whipping a cold beer or a glass of wine.
